What: Journal of Transport and Land Use Editorial Advisory Board meeting Tuesday January 15, 5:30 - 7:30 Rendezvous point: Hilton Hotel Reservation Desk
We are organizing a meeting of the JTLU Board Tuesday January 15 during TRB. We will discuss the status of the journal, ideas, final launch details. etc. I hope we can do this over dinner (suggestions welcome). Please let me know if you are planning to attend so I can get a head count (and make reservations).
As part of the launch of the Journal of Transport and Land Use, we would like to present a series of review papers detailing the state of play in the field of Transport and Land Use. Strategically speaking, we have found that quality review pieces which are then cited widely dramatically help increase the visibility of the journal (and the author!). At the meeting of the Editorial Advisory Board at WCTR in June, a number of potential review paper topics were raised:
There will be a meetup at WCTR of the Journal of Transport and Land Use (JTLU) Editorial Advisory Board and other interested persons at 5 pm Monday in Room 108 of Wurster Hall on the Berkeley campus, if you are attending WCTR, we hope you can attend.
The agenda is fairly open (though we do have some questions/topics in mind), please bring ideas about how to make JTLU the best possible journal.
I saw the announcement by means of David Plane (WRSA Members). Web of JTLU seems very fine to me. Compliments! ;-)
Concerning our Special Issue I asked Piet Rietveld - who will come to Berkeley - to meet you there, in order to explore with you this possibility. As you know, I am very much in favour of JTLU. I like novelties, and mostly I like your idea of JTLU, which seems very wide in its scope and audience. In addition, our topic of commuting and networks for the Special Issue seems to fit very well in it.
Welcome to the Journal of Transport and Land Use Editorial Advisory Board mailing list.
1) We hope by now you have seen the public announcement of the Journal of Transport and Land Use. If you have not, please let me know what email lists you are on, so that we can increase our outreach.
